I express my sincere thanks for placing your trust and confidence in me to lead 54 old Mahamandleshwar Shri Krishnanandji College of Commerce, Bharuch a task I accept with deepest humility in absence of our leader Late M R Thakore. I welcome all the new members to the SVM fraternity and seek the kind support and commitment to steer SVM to new horizons of success.
SVM primarily being an Educational Institute, teachers are the torch bearers in all the activities and programs of the SVM. It shall be my endeavor to involve all worthy teachers in the ventures of SVM with a view to enhance the image of SVM and make its presence profoundly felt not only within the region but also in National & International educational arenas.
I also strongly believe that we need to make sincere efforts to reach out to the policy makers, Industrial organizations to give our valuable inputs/services on many important policy issues/training programs. This can be possible only when each one contributes his/her might as experts in the field. Equally significant is the initiative to recognize the young graduates as it is they who are the future leaders of tomorrow. We shall make efforts to seek their greater contribution in the activities of the SVM.
Like any good educational institute, SVM take the responsibility of shaping the future of business and society by developing good human resources with putting focus on primary to secondary to tertiary and further into research by fulfilling academic needs of over 10000+ students of Bharuch and Narmada Districts.
I look forward to your suggestions and guidance for all inputs that lead to the continuing progress of SVM. I wish you all a great success in all endeavors in the years to come.

Education is the manifestation of love and my most cherished possession. Education drives away ignorance and through illumination it emboldens a man to a righteous thought and action. It empowers a woman and enlarges the horizon of her mind. It energizes a society and enables a man to earn his living with respect and praise. Hence my love for it. In order to accomplish our vision and mission, we are prepared to take as much effort as possible for the betterment of academic scenario in India. We believe that education is an effective medium of social transformation. We get encouragement, looking at bright and successful careers of our thousands of students, which subsequently benefit the society. We feel proud that we are part of such an excellent institute, which is shaping modern India. Our college cares for the individual development of each and every student. We follow “mentor system” under which each class is put into the multi-pronged web of a teacher. Origin and Establishment :
Shri S'ad Vidya Mandal, with a deep commitment to enhancing education in Bharuch, laid the foundation of J.P. Arts & Science College in 1955 to provide higher education opportunities in the region. However, despite the presence of J.P. Arts & Science College, the management realized a significant gap in the region's educational ecosystem - the lack of commerce education. Students were compelled to travel to distant cities like Surat or Vadodara, causing formidable financial and logistical challenges, particularly for middle-class families. Addressing this crucial need, the Shri S'ad Vidya Mandal took a significant step forward and established M.K. College of Commerce on June 14, 1967, with the guidance of Swami Atulanandji. The inauguration ceremony was honored by the then Education Minister of Gujarat, Shri Gordhandas Chokhawala, marking a historic milestone.
Growth and Academic Milestones :
Mahamandleshwar Shri Krishnanandji College of Commerce is a prestigious Grant-in-aid institution, affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under sections 2F and 12B of the UGC Act, 1956.
From its humble beginnings, the college has steadily evolved into a premier commerce education hub in Bharuch. The dynamic leadership of Prof. R.C. Joshi, the first Principal, played a pivotal role in shaping its academic culture. As a tribute to his contributions, the college library was named in his honor.

Since Dr. V.A. Joshi took over as Principal on July 7, 2009, the college has witnessed remarkable advancements. In fact, the college has undergone radical transformations under his dynamic leadership.
